Maintaining Muscle+
- Whey protein contains the highest proportion of essential amino acids compared to protein sources.
- Added lactase to aid digestion
- Uses a combination of vitamin D, potassium, magnesium and calcium proven scientifically to contribute to muscle function.
Protein is the most important nutrient for muscles, as they are often in a state of flux breaking down and reforming new tissue. Protein is also required for other tissues such as bones, blood, and hormones. Whey protein is considered the ‘best’ protein when compared to other forms available as it contains the highest proportion of essential amino acids which cannot be naturally synthesised by the body. Muscle loss happens as a result of the ageing process, so this formulation has been developed specifically with the over 50s in mind.

What is Maintaining Muscle?
A tailored blend of key nutrients including protein, amino acids, zinc, magnesium and vitamin D to help you maintain muscle. The 'healthy ageing' blend used within our products addresses key nutrients you are likely missing and supports the immune system and gut health.
As we get older, we tend to start losing muscle mass. In fact, after the age of around 45 yrs old, we lose around 1% muscle mass each year, which means that by the time we are 65 yrs old, we may have lost a quarter of our muscle mass or even more!
This is an alarming fact to most people. In fact, there is a medical term for this, and it is ‘sarcopenia’.
